Moon nasce dal desiderio di creare una lampada che, anche quando spenta, emetta luce. Per ottenere questo effetto si è deciso di utilizzare per il paralume un tessuto catarifrangente che produce, quando colpito dalla luce ambientale, sorprendenti e inaspettati bagliori.
Il piede della lampada, con tre punti di appoggio, assicura una perfetta tenuta anche su superfici non completamente lisce. Inoltre, per trasformare il cavo di alimentazione in parte integrante della struttura dell’oggetto si è deciso di inglobarlo nel corpo in legno, per mezzo di una leggera fresatura.
April 2011 Moon was born from the desire to create a lamp that, even when turned off, emits light. To achieve this effect it was decided to use for the lampshade a reflective fabric that reacts, when affected by ambient light, with surprising and unexpected flashes. The base of the lamp, with a three-point support, ensures perfect balance even on surfaces which are not completely smooth. In addition, in order to transform it into an integral part of the structure of the object, it was decided to incorporate the electric cable into the wooden body by way of a small line of indentation.
